Congratulations to the Canon-McMillan Envirothon Team. They represented Washington County at the State Envirothon Competition May 19-20 and placed 19th out of 63 teams in the state!
The group also finished 14th out of 63 for their presentation on Urban Forestry.

Legislation in the state of Pennsylvania has been passed that requires all animal operations that produce or use manure to have a written plan outlining how the manure is used, or disposed of. The Washington County Conservation District is available to help owners understand the regulations, and to write a plan for their operation.

The District is available to work with any operator, no matter what size. Sights Around Our County
The Washington County Conservation District holds a district meeting on the second Tuesday of every month. All citizens from Washington County are welcome to attend these meetings. During the year from September - March district meetings begin at 10am, and from April - August meetings will be held at 9am at the Washington County Conservation District Office. September and December are the two months that meetings will not be held at the Conservation District, and the locations are to be determined.
